The Notre Dame Club of Omaha will be hosting a table at the Omaha Area College Fair on Sunday, October 28, 2012. The fair is from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at UNO. We will need someone to help with setup (just to bring the supplies to the fair) and then take them home (afterwards).

We had a successful gamewatch for the Michigan State game with nearly 40 people in attendance cheering the Irish on to victory. See some of the pictures below.
Dr. Charles Rice, Professor Emeritus of Law at the University of Notre Dame, will speak at the Thomas More Society Fundraiser on Friday, September 21. The Thomas More Society is a non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to restoring respect in law for life, marriage, and religious liberty. This organization provides high quality pro bono services to its clients from the local trial court level to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Fighting Irish take on Navy next Saturday in Dublin, Ireland to open the 2012 football season. Brian D. (’80) and his wife have arranged a gamewatch event here in Omaha at the Pipeline Tavern (1300 S. 72nd Street). Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 am and the Pipeline has agreed to open its doors at at that time. Appetizers are being provided. The club has two tickets to the Michigan game on September 22nd. We are opening up a silent auction for the tickets, with proceeds benefitting the Walsh Scholarship. The minimum bid is $166. Please send bids directly to Ed Murphy (email@example.com). All bids must be received by September 5.
The Archdiocese of Omaha, along with the Latino Catholic Scholarship Fund of Omaha, are welcoming Notre Dame faculty member Fr. Joe Corpora, C.S.C to speak at a luncheon on August 28. Corpora is co-chair of the Notre Dame task force on the Participation of Latino Families and Children in Catholic Schools. He is speaking about the University’s campaign to increase Latino enrollment in Catholic Schools to one million within the next ten years. The luncheon is part of the Archdiocese of Omaha’s launch of the Promise 2020 initiative that aims to increase Latino enrollment in Archdiocesan schools.
