Hesburgh Month of Service

Each May, Notre Dame Clubs around the country celebrate the legacy of Fr. Hesburgh by completing service projects in their communities.  Last year, over 20 ND Club of Omaha members took part in our day of service.  This year we hope to gather even more volunteers for our service day on Saturday, May 18.

We will be working at the Jesuit Academy camp located at 245th and Q in Elkhorn.  This family friendly event includes a range of activities for any volunteer.  Cabins will need to be cleaned, the gravel driveway filled in, and hedges trimmed.  Bring your shovels, rakes, and rags and the club will provide lunch.
Individuals or families are welcome to help any time between 9:30 and 2:00 (lunch around noon).  If would like to attend this event, please fill out the volunteer form at this link.
Go Irish!

College Fair, Tickets, & More

The Notre Dame Club of Omaha will be hosting a table at the Omaha Area College Fair on Sunday, October 28, 2012. The fair is from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at UNO. We will need someone to help with setup (just to bring the supplies to the fair) and then take them home (afterwards).

If interested, please contact to John Menicucci at jmenicuc@yahoo.com. Please help the club support local students interested in the University.
There are a number of tickets available on the ticket board – even 2 for the Shamrock Series game this weekend against the Hurricanes. Check the Football Tickets tab for ticket availability. There is even a hotel room available for the BYU game (click on the game to see details).

We had a successful gamewatch for the Michigan State game with nearly 40 people in attendance cheering the Irish on to victory. See some of the pictures below.
