Fall 2013 Club News

The Murphys will go to Oklahoma Game

John Murphy ’65 of Papillion will be going to the Oklahoma game at Notre Dame Stadium.

His auction bid of $495 won a pair of tickets from the Club. Bidding closed on September 7 at midnight.  Proceeds will be deposited in the Walsh Scholarship Fund. Thank you to all bidders.

Success: ND Soccer Tailgater at Creighton’s Morrison Stadium

We saw over 100 spirited Club Members, students, parents, and friends on a beautiful Sunday, August 18. The Skutt Catholic High School Marching Band turned the corner of VanTeicher Mall and entertained us for an hour, including the Fight Song. Members took the opportunity to greet our new freshmen, and to renew friendships on the lawn.

The Club Board is especially appreciative of the time and effort invested by:  The cold beverage team; Andy Fenoglio ’88 and Bob Murphy ’80, grillmen; and Catherine Kelly SMC ’81, executive producer. Special thank you to Maggie McKeon for her announcements on the KVSS Spirit Catholic Radio Network.

2013 Membership

A number of you have inquired about catching up on 2013 Club dues.  Please go to the Membership Page or send a check for $45 to:

The Notre Dame Club of Omaha
PO Box 961, Bellevue NE    68005

Alumni, parents, friends, and “subway” alumni are always invited to join. No dues are requested of young alumni from ’12 and ’13.

2014 Membership Drive

The Club is seeking three leaders to grow membership next year. Meet great Notre Dame alums and subway alums, and invite them to pay their annual dues. Your success will grow the Walsh Scholarship Fund towards the $1,000,000 mark. These roles are open to young alumni, senior alumni, and subway alumni who love Notre Dame.
